Assistant Professor Yuan (Daniel) Cheng and former Humphrey School Professor Jodi Sandfort are recipients of this year’s Best Conference Paper Award from the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA).

Assistant Professor Yuan (Daniel) Cheng is co-author of "Climate change impacts and urban green space adaptation efforts: Evidence from U.S. municipal parks and recreation departments," published by Urban Climate. 

PhD candidate Tao Tao, Professor Jason Cao, and Dr. Xinyi Wu published the paper, “The road less traveled: Does rail transit matter?”, in the Journal of Planning Education and Research, a flagship journal of urban and regional planning in North America.

Professor Jason Cao and PhD candidate Tao Tao presented at the webinar: Spatial planning of low-carbon cities with machine learning, which focused on using machine learning approaches to analyze the influences of urban form on energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, and looking for urban planning strategies that can reduce carbon footprint of cities.
