Alumni Network: Lead, Serve, and Get Involved

Humphrey School graduates are leaders in their fields, from international development to local government, from planning to politics. Your leadership also is valuable in support of the School, its students, and its alumni. Serving on the Alumni Board, hosting an event, and starting a regional chapter are a few examples of how you can be a leader with your peers. Your time, talent, and ideas make the School and the education it provides stronger.

Alumni Board

The Humphrey School Alumni Board plays a key role in supporting the mission of the Humphrey School by providing opportunities for alumni to connect with each other, with students, and with the leadership of the School. The Alumni Board has a unique role in sharing of practitioner-based experience with students and faculty members and promoting the School among key partners.

Start by getting to know the current board and then when you're ready to lead, connect with Bryan Bradford, our manager of alumni relations, for future opportunities on the board.

Join the University of Minnesota Alumni Association

The Humphrey School encourages alumni to join the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. We also encourage you to find out more about our Alumni Board, which plays a key role in promoting the Humphrey School and helping us achieve our mission. Regional Groups

With nearly 4,300 graduates across the globe, the Humphrey School's regional groups are vital to cultivating local alumni connections and increasing the visibility of the Humphrey School worldwide. These groups rely on the energy and commitment of alumni volunteers to plan and host social and professional networking events, organize community service initiatives, and provide opportunities for alumni to connect with each other and with the School. Currently, there are active groups in Washington, D.C., and Chicago. For more information or to start a regional group, email Alumni Relations.

Social Networking

Many of you use social media in your day-to-day lives. Reconnect with old classmates and stay in touch with your colleagues and friends from the Humphrey School by joining our Alumni & Students LinkedIn group and finding us on Facebook.

Emerging Professionals Network

Emerging Professionals Network is a collaboration among multiple collegiate societies at the University of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota Alumni Association to provide an opportunity for recent graduates to connect with one another at fun and interesting events and activities throughout the year.

Host an Event

Humphrey alumni across the globe enjoy the opportunity to meet and engage with fellow graduates. Sponsoring a small gathering with a speaker and refreshments is a great way to meet other Humphrey School graduates in your area. We are happy to help you come up with a focus or speaker for your event and help with invitations. Please contact [email protected] to discuss your ideas.

Speak to Students
