Assistant Professor Bonnie Keeler is co-author of a new policy forum article in Science, "A water rule that turns a blind eye to transboundary pollution," which focuses on assumptions of federalism in environmental regulation.

Professor Christina Ewig is part of a UMN research team that has received funding via the new Time's Up, Measure Up initiative, to study how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting women.

Assistant Professor Yuan (Daniel) Cheng recently published this field report on how nonlocal grassroots organizations provided effective and quick responses during the initial stage of the COVID‐19 outbreak in Wuhan, China, and surrounding regions.

Associate Professor Ryan Allen was appointed as a member of the Presidential Task Force on Anti-Racism within the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP). ACSP President Marlon G. Boarnet established the task force in 2020, "to review all ACSP practices to identify barriers to maintaining a sustained anti-racist focus, with recommendations for institutional changes to overcome those barriers as well as the ways and means of moving forward."

A team including Professor Jason Cao received the 2021 Best Paper Award from a standing committee of the Transportation Research Board (TRB). The paper examined the relationships between land use and transit ridership in Shenzhen, China.

The book, "Fed Power: How Finance Wins," is a hard-hitting critique of the Federal Reserve, the most powerful central bank in the world.

Professor Ed Goetz is a contributor to the book, "Furthering Fair Housing: Prospects for Racial Justice in America's Neighborhoods," which was published this week by Temple University Press.

The honor, one of the highest bestowed on faculty at the University of Minnesota, is for Quick's efforts to train professional students across multiple disciplines to address complex public problems, advance equity and inclusion, and forge shared leadership across differences.
