An Exploration of Money and Politics

The Transparency and Minnesota Public Affairs project improves awareness of how the state’s democratic process works. Reports on spending in state and congressional races based on Minnesota and federal disclosures were issued in October 2018, November 2018, and February 2019.

This is a project of the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. The project is directed by Professors Kathryn Pearson and Lawrence Jacobs, who have public reputations for independence as well as scholarly reputations as rigorous researchers. Professors Pearson and Jacobs are grateful for the contributions of research assistants Madeline Salucka and Matthew Motta.

This research is supported by a grant from the McKnight Foundation.
