Professor Samuel Myers Jr. was named the inaugural BIPOC Business Champion by Meda, the Metropolitan Economic Development Association, at the organization's annual meeting on June 15. The award honors Myers for his "exceptional contributions to promoting economic justice and empowerment, and dismantling structural inequalities."

The mission of Meda, based in Minneapolis, is to help BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) entrepreneurs succeed.
