Professor Jason Cao co-edited a new book, Urban Transport and Land Use Planning: A Synthesis of Global Knowledge, recently published by Elsevier Academic Press. The book includes contributions from leading experts on five continents who assess current planning practices and policies from around the world, particularly in three areas: impacts on travel behavior, movements toward planning for urbanity, and transport and land use integration.

Cao and Professor Bert van Wee of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands co-wrote a section in the book reviewing residential self-selection in the relationship between the built environment and travel behavior.
