Associate Professor Kathy Quick has been awarded the prestigious Gross Family Chair. Previously held by Professor Emerita Melissa Stone, this chair supports the Humphrey School’s program in nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, and public affairs.
This recognition honors Quick’s outstanding scholarship, teaching, and service in the area of public and nonprofit management and leadership, and provides resources to further enrich the academic community.
In addition, as of August 2024 Quick will have a joint appointment with UMN Extension, within its Leadership and Civic Engagement Program. Her expanded responsibilities will include shaping the program's direction, enhancing its outreach efforts, and fostering collaborations both within the School and with external partners.
This joint appointment will provide Quick with the opportunity to deepen her engaged scholarship and public service, as well as to strengthen collaborations between the Humphrey School and community partners.
