Professor Ragui Assaad was a senior advisor and co-author of the report, “The Role of the Care Economy in Promoting Gender Equality: Progress of Women in the Arab States 2020,” for UN Women. Building on analysis of the care economy in the Arab States, this report produces evidence–based policy recommendations for investing in the care economy in the region, and includes country case studies from Egypt, Jordan, the State of Palestine, and Tunisia.
