Allen and Horner Publish Paper on Refugee Employment

Professor and Associate Dean Ryan Allen and PhD candidate Kimberly Horner co-authored a paper, “Penalties and payoffs: The short‐term economic consequences of human capital acquisition for resettled refugees in the United States,” published in International Migration. Their research assesses  the relationship between recent investments in human capital—such as job training and English language classes—and hourly wages for employed refugees in the United States.
