Harrington Discusses Sustainable Energy in Africa

Assistant Professor Elise Harrington was a panelist on a recent webinar, Sustainable African Electricity Sector Expansion: The Critical Role of Social Factors, sponsored by Boston University's Institute for Sustainable Energy. The discussion centered around how electricity infrastructure in Africa should be expanded in a manner that best mitigates financial risks while also addressing environmental and societal concerns. 

Harrington has conducted research in Kenya on the growing market for off-grid renewable energy in rural areas.
