Calow Publishes Report on Drinking Water in Minnesota
December 19, 2023

Professor Peter Calow co-authored a new report for the Minnesota Department of Health to help the agency develop a 10-year strategy to ensure a safe, equitable, and reliable drinking water supply for state residents. The report, Lessons from Drinking Water Professionals: An Assessment of Drinking Water Governance in Minnesota, includes a diversity of perspectives, including input from water supply professionals and consumers.

The report summarizes the lessons learned about critical issues in drinking water supply management.  It concludes that the State of Minnesota needs a more streamlined management approach to cope with the challenges of increasing pressure from aging infrastructure, climate change, more contaminants, and changing populations into the future.
