Republicans repeatedly attempted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, but failed. Avik Roy, a prominent national conservative, argues that the principal reason they failed is that Republicans did not unite around the goal of ensuring that every American has access to affordable health insurance. In this event, Roy presents his proposal, detailed in his book Transcending Obamacare, to achieve universal coverage in ways that expand patient choice and reduce taxpayer costs.
