Humphrey School of Public Affairs
February 7, 2022 - 6:00 pm CST
- 7:15 pm
Online via Zoom
Join us for a virtual community conversation featuring Erin Maye Quade, the Advocacy Director at Gender Justice, an organization working to increase gender equity by advocating for economic justice, reproductive freedom, freedom from violence, and LGBTQIA+ liberation through legal channels.

Erin Maye Quade, the Gender Justice Advocacy Director & UnRestrict MN Campaign Manager, has dedicated her career to social justice including as a former Minnesota State Representative, and currently works to increase gender equity through public policy. During this event we will explore strategies to advance movements through legal advocacy, discuss how to get involved with public policy, and consider how Gender Justice takes an intersectional, movement based approach to fighting for gender equity.

This event is hosted by the Center for Community-Engaged Learning at the University of Minnesota in collaboration with the Women’s Center and the Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life. This event is a part of the Ways to Social Change series and is the keystone event for this month’s theme, Advocate.

This event is free and open to the public, please register using the link below. Once registered you will receive a Zoom link to access the event. This event will also be recorded. If you have any questions, concerns, or disability accommodation requests please contact the Center for Community-Engaged Learning at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you soon!
