Fast forward three years, and he made history with a groundbreaking speech at the National Democratic Convention, igniting the modern civil rights movement. But there’s more to the story. In this hourlong documentary, discover how Mayor Humphrey transformed Minneapolis by improving lives, confronting organized crime, and reshaping the police department. His legacy lives on, offering insights into today’s challenges.

About Mick Caouette:

 

Mick Caouette is an acclaimed documentary filmmaker who began his career in 1996, as an Associate Producer for two Court TV films, “The Scottsboro Boys” and “The Capture and Trial of Adolph Eichmann.” He later produced “Restore America with Bob Villa” on HGTV. Since 1999, Mick has produced five independent films, including “Hubert H Humphrey: The Art of the Possible,” “Mr Civil Rights: Thurgood Marshall and the NAACP,” and “Summoned: Frances Perkins and the General Welfare” – all of which are appearing nationally on PBS and Prime Video.
