Industry Clusters on the Prairie: Economic Drivers in South Central Minnesota

Leaders from industry, economic development, academia, and transportation will be coming together on Friday, Feb 16 at South Central Service Cooperative for Industry Clusters on the Prairie: Economic Drivers in South Central Minnesota, a presentation and discussion of new University of Minnesota research about the Medical Device Industry’s economic and transportation impact on greater Minnesota.


This event is being held in-person and is open to everyone, but registration is required.

 

Tom Horan, dean of the School of Business at the University of Redlands and visiting scholar with the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, will provide a keynote presentation of a new research project on the Medical Devices Impact on Greater Minnesota The research builds on a series of studies that have mapped and analyzed Minnesota’s medical device industry cluster, exploring its economic impact and the vital role of transportation.

 

The presentation will be followed by panel discussions including industry leaders in Greater Minnesota, leaders of the Region Nine Development Commission, and the University’s Center for Transportation Studies and Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
