Parks, trails and open space play an important role in community health and resilience, touching on major policy topics of this decade. The use and appreciation for these spaces exploded as people needed places to connect and decompress for their health and wellbeing.

Parks play a very visible role in civic participation and sheltering the unhoused within urban areas. What have we learned in the last 2.5 years on how parks, trails, and open spaces can be designed and managed to meet changing conditions and public needs?
