Salma Abdi is an undergraduate Research Assistant at the Roy Wilkins Center for Human Relations and Social Justice. Additionally, she is second-year at the University of Minnesota pursuing a BS in Economics and BA in Global Studies.
Salma was a UNICEF USA National Youth Council member and an End Youth Prisons Policy Fellow at the Legal Rights Center.
She is a UNICEF Global Youth Advocate passionate about Children’s Rights, Juvenile Justice, Climate Justice, and Educational Equity. Salma’s research interests are the economics of education, the economics of crime, and economic development.
