As Assistant to the Director of the Roy Wilkins Center, Mya Halvorson works on administrative, research, and project management tasks that further the mission and work of the Center. Mya has experience in both quantitative and qualitative research, and has developed a keen interest in increasing the accessibility of policy research. Mya’s personal research interests lie at the intersection of K-12 education policy and segregation. In May 2023, Mya graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Urban Studies. Mya’s previous experience includes research assistantship and community engagement in neighborhoods and schools.
