Laura Bishop is an independent corporate board director, experienced business leader, and former commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. She has firsthand experience leading Best Buy Co., Inc. through major business turnarounds while executing growth strategies and environmental social governance (ESG) capabilities.

Laura’s executive experience and insights from the private and public sectors helped shape her unique perspective in understanding opportunities and risks that drive profitability and support company purpose. She leads her own consulting practice, Purpose Strategies LLC, and helps organizations with their ESG journey. 

She earned a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
