Adeel Lari


Adeel Lari is director of Innovative Financing for the State and Local Policy Program at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, where he is responsible for developing Fast Lane initiatives, studying transportation financing options, and implementing telecommuting under the Minnesota Urban Partnership Agreement (UPA) Previously, Lari spent more than 30 years at the Minnesota Department of Transportation as director of the offices of research services and alternative transportation financing, developing public-private partnerships. 

Lari earned an MS in civil engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a also a licensed real estate broker, has held an appraisal license, and has earned certificates in mediation from William Mitchell College of Law and in strategic public sector negotiations from Harvard University.

Lari’s initiatives have won numerous awards, including the President’s Modal Award from the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and the Distinguished Project Award from The National Council For Public-Private Partnerships.
