Francis Green (MA/JD '00) Appointed to Judgeship

Gov. Tim Walz appointed Francis Green (MA/JD '00) district court judge in Minnesota’s 10th Judicial District effective April 5, 2021. Green is chambered in Stillwater in Washington County. 

Prior to his appointment, Green was a national realty specialist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS). He also served as a conciliation court referee in Ramsey County. Green previously worked in private practice, where he handled a variety of civil and criminal matters, and he is a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Minnesota. 

Green earned dual master's and law degrees in 2000, and served on the Humphrey School's Alumni Society board of directors from 2003 to 2005.
