Public policy shapes lives, and at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, we are committed to tackling the world’s most pressing challenges with evidence, analysis, and leadership.
The Constellations of M(pact) initiative spotlights the Humphrey School of Public Affairs’ role in addressing pressing policy challenges through research, teaching, and public engagement. It brings focus to the ways in which our faculty, students, and partners contribute to public service, policy innovation, and global and local problem-solving. Central to this initiative is a commitment to advancing the well-being of individuals, communities, and the planet—values that align with and contribute to UMN President Cunningham’s Healthier. Here, There, and Everywhere campaign.
Much like a sky filled with stars, the School’s diverse projects and collaborations form patterns—constellations—that help us tell a clearer, more compelling story of our collective impact. Over the next two years, we are bringing particular attention to four Constellations of M(pact):
- The Future of Water and Energy
- Human Rights and Humanitarianism
- Economic Prosperity
- Constructive Dialogue
Each constellation represents a network of research, teaching, and outreach dedicated to advancing public policy solutions that make a tangible impact on communities in Minnesota, the nation, and the world.
