Food

Anyone who plans to prepare, serve, or sell food at an event on the University of Minnesota campus must obtain and complete the required UMN food permit before the event, regardless of whether they are a student group, department, or external vendor.

Alcohol

Anyone who plans to serve or sell alcohol at an event on the University of Minnesota campus must obtain an approved UMN alcohol permit before the event, regardless of whether they are a student group, department, or external vendor.

University Organization Alcohol Permit Application

Sales

Anyone who plans to sell goods or collect money at an event on the University of Minnesota campus must complete a UMN sales permit before the event, regardless of whether they are a student group, department, or external vendor.

Performers and Speakers

Public Performance License

The Humphrey School Conference Center is public. If you are planning on showing a film that has been copyrighted, it is illegal for you to show it without first obtaining a public performance license.The Federal Copyright Act governs how copyrighted material such as movies may be used.
