Professor Judy Temple has been awarded a three-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to study the childcare market for infants and toddlers. Temple and her team will examine how childcare costs have been affected by the growth of public school-based preschool programs.
Professor Temple is also on the steering committee of the new Big Ten Early Learning Alliance, which brings together experts from universities in the conference to collaborate on activities that expand understanding of early childhood development. They just published a research brief analyzing the state of early childhood education for the nearly six million young children who live in conference states
