Tippy Maurant has over 30 years of experience in the art, design, and nonprofit sectors. Before joining the University of Minnesota, she served as Deputy Director and Director of Galleries & Exhibitions at Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis. In that role, she led a collaborative team environment and was responsible for exhibition design, event management, gallery program administration, and creative direction/project management.

In addition to her institutional work, she is an independent artist and holds a Cottage Food Producer license through the State of Minnesota.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and certificate in Sustainable Design from Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
