    About

    Now an adjunct professor, Rachel Conway has spent her career in federal service facilitating relationships between the Executive Branch, Congress, the media, and the public. Most recently Rachel served as Director of Outreach for a legislative commission assessing the Department of Defense’s resourcing processes. She also served as Chief of Communications and Strategic Planning for Department of the Air Force leadership overseeing acquisition and technology development.

    Rachel is a recipient of the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service. She earned a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in U.S. Government Institutions and Policy Management from George Mason University. She also graduated with honors from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Politics and a minor in Intelligence Analysis. She is program management certified through the Defense Acquisition University.

    Rachel is passionate about encouraging her students to explore the unique role they play in strengthening democracy. She has a lifelong appreciation for reading and learning, cultivated by family trips to libraries, museums, and historic sites in Virginia where she grew up.
