Sara Benzkofer is director of the Policy Fellows Program, offered by the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance. She brings an extensive background in advocacy, organizing, and fundraising to this role.
Prior to joining the Humphrey School, she served as the executive director of Minnesota Association for the Education of Young Children (MnAEYC) and Minnesota School-Age Care Alliance (MnSACA), where she ran a program similar to Policy Fellows.
From 2004 to 2011, she held several administrative roles in the Minnesota House and Senate.
She earned her bachelor's degree in English and political science from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.
