    About

    Kabo Yang has over 20 years of work, consulting, and volunteer experience in the nonprofit sector in Minnesota. She served as executive director of the MN Women's Consortium, a statewide advocacy organization advancing women's liberation and gender equity. She is currently a strategic services consultant at Propel Nonprofits, and an adjunct instructor at St. Catherine University and the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. 

    Her educational background is in business administration and organizational leadership, and she is working on her dissertation through the Organizational Development and Change doctoral program at Fielding Graduate University. 

    For the last decade, Kabo has been serving on nonprofit boards and other community organizations that impact refugees, immigrants, and women. She is currently serving on the boards of Southeast Asian Resource Action Center and Transforming Generations. She is a former refugee and a single parent to two young adults.
