Danbi Seo (PhD ‘21) and faculty members John Bryson, Barbara Crosby, and Yuan (Daniel) Cheng co-authored the paper “Achieving organizational transformation: Leadership and strategic planning as a structurational process.” 

Monitoring a nonprofit that saw considerable success from 2014 to 2023, the team explored how successive top leaders navigated and reshaped structural aspects of the organization to advance strategic goals.

The researchers analyzed how leaders’ actions and the structural context influenced each other to shape evolving mission, vision, internal alignment, external engagement and organizational effectiveness.
