Dr. Xinyi Wu, Professor Jason Cao, and Frank Douma published the paper, “The Impacts of Vehicle Automation on Transport-Disadvantaged People,” in Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives.
PhD candidate Tao Tao, Professor Jason Cao, and Dr. Xinyi Wu published the paper, “The road less traveled: Does rail transit matter?”, in the Journal of Planning Education and Research, a flagship journal of urban and regional planning in North America.
A team including Professor Jason Cao received the 2021 Best Paper Award from a standing committee of the Transportation Research Board (TRB). The paper examined the relationships between land use and transit ridership in Shenzhen, China.
The funding will support research in a number of areas, including transportation equity and assessing the effects of highway improvements on adjacent businesses.
