Our Spring Visit Day provides an excellent chance for admitted students to learn about the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, meet our distinguished faculty, and network with current students as well as alumni.
We hope you can join us Monday, April 11, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Take a look at what's in store.
A light breakfast will be offered to accompany a welcome from our admissions and dean's offices before we jump into presentations from current students, the Office for Career and Professional Development, and a conversation about funding presented by the Admissions Office. We will break to enjoy lunch and hear from a panel of alumni from across our master's degree programs.
The afternoon will focus on your specific program, allowing you to engage with professors and current students who will give you an in-depth perspective on what your time at the Humphrey School could look like.
NOTE: While this is subject to change, we are planning for this event to be in person. As such, all attendees will need to abide by University of Minnesota masking and campus visit policies. We plan on offering a livestream of the morning portion of Spring Visit Day, but there will be no opportunities to interact with the speakers beyond listening. Therefore, we strongly recommend in-person attendance for Spring Visit Day. Grants are available to help subsidize the cost of travel.
Several hotels near the University of Minnesota offer discounted rates for university visitors but there are many to choose from in the area. We've included a few popular options below.
Travel Grant Request
The Humphrey School has limited travel grants to defray costs to Spring Visit Day for students who live more than 150 miles from Minneapolis. Interested students can request a travel grant of up to $300 from our office by submitting a Travel Grant Request.
