Richard Barta (MPP, '15) recently transitioned to a new position at Marriott International, Inc. Based out of Washington, DC, he now serves as a Senior Manager of Global Intelligence with a geographic portfolio covering the company's interests throughout the Western Hemisphere. His role is to monitor and assess geopolitical, economic, crime, and terrorism trends impacting the region, and to make recommendations to the Global Safety and Security team on threat condition levels for Marriott equities. Before starting his new role, Richard served at the U.S. Department of State's Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) where he advised and provided resources for U.S. organizations on international security affairs.
