You are invited to attend a Zoom meeting on January 18th from 2:30 to 4:00 PM, which includes a DEI Practitioner’s Panel presentation at 2:55 PM, followed by Q&A, networking, and conversations about this presentation.

 

Panelists information:

Tonisha is the Human Resources Manager at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. She serves as the co-chair of the School’s Equity & Inclusion Council, managing the equity and inclusion strategy and implementation plan for the school. She is Vice President elected of the Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA) at the University.

Dr. Fertig is an economist and faculty member at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She has served as co-chair of the Humphrey School’s Equity and Inclusion Council for almost 3 years.

Terresa is a proud Black queer woman dedicated to the liberation of Black and brown people through art and design. Moses is the Creative Director at Blackbird Revolt and an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design and the Director of Design Justice at the University of Minnesota. She is currently a PhD candidate in Social Justice Education at the University of Toronto.

liz, PhD (they/them/theirs) is the Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for DEI, and Director, Office of Equity, Diversity, and Intercultural Programs at UMN Morris. While at Morris, they have aimed to increase community, understanding, and empathy through dialogue and restorative justice work; raise consciousness around disability identity and disability culture; and support Black, international, Indigenous, queer, and disabled employees. liz earned a PhD in Disability Studies; an MA in Women and Gender Studies.
