Associate Professor Audrey Dorélien is a member of the University of Minnesota’s research team that was awarded $17.5 million from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help establish an outbreak response network during public health emergencies. 

Dorélien will lead the effort to collect social contact data “that will establish robust estimates of post-pandemic behaviors to establish model parameters of future infectious threats. The survey will specifically include questions for children, a population often omitted from contact surveys but who play a key role in transmission dynamics.”
