Meet 2018's PPIA Junior Summer Institute Fellows

We welcomed 19 outstanding future policy leaders to the Humphrey in June and July

The Humphrey School was excited to welcome a new cohort of PPIA Junior Summer Institute fellows for a seven-week program in June and July. This summer’s group of 19 future policy leaders represent colleges and universities from across the country and brought their personal passions for issues ranging from international policy to restorative justice, education policy to national security, and immigration, housing, and criminal justice.

What they all share is a desire to work in public service and a commitment to advancing the common good. While the JSI fellows were here they immersed themselves in coursework on policy analysis, statistics, economic policy, and other subjects that solidify their readiness for graduate school.

Four of these impressive students shared their takes on their time here.
