Humphrey School Hosts Two Washington, DC, Events to Honor the Life and Legacy of Walter F. Mondale

Walter Mondale: Living Legacy

The Humphrey School of Public Affairs is pleased to host two events to honor the life and legacy of our nation's 42nd Vice President. Both programs will take place in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.

The events are a culmination of a yearlong series of events to honor the life and legacy of Walter F. Mondale and commemorate his contributions to public life. The initiative also includes events in Minneapolis, a $2.2 million campaign to raise money for student scholarships, and the naming of the Humphrey School’s public gathering space in Mr. Mondale’s honor.

A symposium exploring the domestic and foreign policy issues central to the legacy of Vice President Mondale. Panels will cover topics such as the Mondale Vice Presidency, reconciling national security and the U.S. Constitution, and the fight for civil rights
