Dr. Laura Bloomberg has served as dean of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs since June 2017 after previously serving as associate dean since 2013. She is a three-time recipient of awards for graduate-level teaching and advising. Bloomberg's academic research focuses on community-based and cross-sector leadership, program evaluation, and educational policy.  She is co-editor of the award-winning books: Public Value and Public Administration, and Creating Public Value in Practice: Advancing the Common Good in a Multi-Sector, Shared-Power, No-One-Wholly-in-Charge World.

Please join us to hear Dr. Bloomberg reflect on the creation of policy that yields public value and working across sectors to advance the common good in her talk -  We, The People: Reclaiming the Public Square.

This lecture series honors the work of Dr. David A. Rothenberger, a physician leader, surgeon, mentor, and researcher. Dr. Rothenberger is the former Jay Phillips professor and chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota.
