Addressing the urgent need for climate-resilient and inclusive public spaces, this approach incorporates decolonization efforts, challenging traditional narratives and power structures that have historically marginalized Indigenous and other communities. By honoring Indigenous Knowledge and Ecological Stewardship, designers can co-create spaces that reflect the multiplicity of identities and relationships within society and environment. This pluralistic approach aims to foster public spaces that support resilience, equity, and cultural expression, ultimately transforming the public realm for all.
