    Biography

Weston Merrick leads Minnesota Management & Budget’s Impact Evaluation Unit, a team of social and data scientists that uses scientific insights and methods to understand the impact of state investments in human services. He earned his PhD from the Humphrey School in 2020. His dissertation research explored how the design and behavioral sciences can be used to improve public service delivery. Originally from St. Louis, Weston met his wife and Minnesota native, Cassie, during undergrad at the University of Missouri. As a Minnesota transplant, he spends his summers on patios and winters indoors with his pup, Dewey.
