Robert Streetar

Adjunct Faculty Member

Bob Streetar has been engaged in community development broadly for 23 years. He is currently the community development director for the City of Oakdale and previously held similar positions with the cities of Columbia Heights and Minnetonka.

His undergraduate and master’s degrees are in social work and urban and regional studies. He holds a doctorate in public administration from Hamline University, where his dissertation focused on causes of suburban decline.

He has taught community development-related courses at Minnesota State University Mankato and Hamline University. He is also the owner of Streetar Consulting, which assists communities in the areas of economic development, housing, planning, neighborhood revitalization, and redevelopment.
