    About

    Mr. Omer Khan is a civil servant from Pakistan with more than seven years of experience in policy development, disaster risk management, development and governance reforms, donor relations, communications and capacity building. He has in-depth knowledge and experience at the federal and provincial levels, working in crisis-affected areas and situations. Mr. Khan is passionate about strengthening Pakistan’s image internally and externally through his involvement in large-scale and grassroots development projects. He also has a keen interest in sustainable development and governance reform. Currently he is posted to the Federal Ministry of Information, Broadcasting & National Heritage, where he is responsible for the training of civil servants in public relations and media management.

    Mr. Khan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and history and a Master of Arts degree in English literature and linguistics. He considers the Fellowship as an opportunity to learn and experience the best international theory and practice in the domain of public policy. Through courses at the University of Minnesota and the applied portion of the Fellowship, he hopes to enhance his understanding and appreciation of this important aspect of governance.
