Ms. Madhvi Kataria currently serves as director of social security, women, and child development and as executive director of the backward classes, minorities finance, and development corporation for the Government of Punjab, India. She also has held positions in personnel and administration and human resource development in various departments of state government. A majority of her professional experience has been in the social sector, and she has been intimately involved in implementation of government policies and programs pertaining to vulnerable and marginal sections of society. Her recent focus has been on prevention of domestic violence and improvement of state-run correctional homes for juveniles and delinquent juveniles. Ms. Kataria earned a Master of Business Administration degree and currently is pursuing a Master of Social Work degree. During her fellowship year, Ms. Kataria will pursue a Master of Public Affairs degree with a focus on human rights, social policy, civic engagement, public–private partnerships, leadership, and change management.
