Keith Hovis

Director of Communications

Keith Hovis is the Director of Communications for the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Prior to joining the Humphrey, he spent nine years working in state and local government. He has held communications leadership roles in the office of St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, the office of Governor Mark Dayton, the Minnesota Department of Education, and, most recently, Minnesota Management and Budget. 

An alumni of the University of Minnesota, and former student worker at both Wilson Library and the Minnesota Daily, Keith is proud to return to his alma mater in an official staff role. Outside of his work at the Humphrey, he is involved in the local theater scene as a playwright and composer.
