Mr. Gaigongdin Panmei serves as deputy chief executive of the National Cooperative Development Corporation, a statutory development finance institute under the Ministry of Agriculture, in New Delhi. There, he promotes post-harvest management in agriculture and allied sectors through cooperatives in India. Previous to this, he served as an India Revenue Service, working in the areas of customs, export promotion, anti-smuggling and drug enforcement, and excise and service tax. Mr. Panmei has extensive experience with drug enforcement in the northeastern region of India. He earned a master’s degree in history from the University of Delhi. During his fellowship year, Mr. Panmei will pursue a Master of Public Affairs degree.
