Student Opportunities: Women, Gender, and Public Policy
The Humphrey School of Public Affairs was one of the first and remains one of the few public policy schools in the country to allow students to concentrate their studies on women and public policy. The center also offers professional development programs for nonprofit leaders, elected women, women aspiring to the bench, and women candidates for office. Learn more about our work on representation and leadership.
Students from across the world come the Humphrey School to pursue a concentration in gender and public policy while obtaining a master's degree.
The Center on Women, Gender, and Public Policy offers internship grants to encourage students to work with grassroots feminist organizations that lack the resources to pay an intern; to enhance students' abilities to pursue job placements closely related to their career goals; and to serve to advance gender equity. Gender, Sex, and Policy Event Committee (GSPEC)
Humphrey School students sponsor events throughout the year to highlight gender and sexuality-related issues and their intersection with public policy. Please visit the committee's website for more information and like GSPEC on Facebook for regular updates and event notices.
