Connect with Humphrey through Mentor Programs

The mentor programs connect alumni and friends of the Humphrey School with students who share the same areas of professional interest. By virtue of their rich experience and expertise in the field, mentors provide insight into career paths and advice about developing professional networks. Mentors report that they, too, receive renewed inspiration to make a difference and updates about what is happening at the Humphrey School.

Career Exploration Trips

Career & Professional Development and Alumni Relations partner to bring students to network with employers and learn about what it is like to work in different environments. Each spring, we travel to Washington DC. Other trips include a summer trip to Chicago and a winter daytrip to the Twin Cities. If you would like to host an event or serve on a panel, contact Jen Guyer-Wood, 612-625-2847.

Dean Laura Bloomberg
Students come to the Humphrey School because they believe in making difference. Our alumni are mayors, legislators, nonprofit directors, grassroots organizers, and corporate executives; their work affects people and communities across the globe. I believe our role as a School is to nurture our students' passion for tackling important issues here and abroad, ensuring they have the tools necessary to make a lasting impact on our planet.
