Independent Study Credits Policy

Students may apply a maximum of 3 credits of independent study (PA 8991) toward their Humphrey degree.  Students work with an individual faculty member who guides the research and final product.  The student registers for that faculty member's section of PA 8991.  Exception: Students using an independent study to complete a final MS Plan B or MPP Professional Paper may apply an additional 3 credits of PA 8991 toward their Humphrey degree, registering in their paper supervisor’s section.
