POLITICAL SCIENCE RECOMMENDATIONS

Strongly recommended: Introductory coursework in Political Science (all degree programs)

If you have not taken an undergraduate course in political science within the past two years, it is strongly recommended that you review a good basic political science text on your own. You would want to review political institutions (state and local, national, comparative or international) and basic concepts in political analysis.

Suggestions from Humphrey Institute faculty:

General Texts as Introductions to
American Politics and Government

  • We the People Benjamin Ginsberg, Theodore Lowi, and Margaret Weir. 2006.6th edition. W.W. Norton.

Studies of the Political Process at Work
