U Card photo

• If you have been outside too long, freshen up! Though it is tempting to have a cavalier "just-get-it-over-with" attitude, try to avoid going right into the U Card Office from a sweaty two-mile walk. Spend some quality time in front of a mirror or discovering Coffman, the Rec. Center, or the St. Paul Gym, while cooling down.
• Get the best image possible. You will be given your card on the spot. Make sure the image has enough pixels and light to register as you. In some cases, the U Card office will take another photo of you.
• Look sharp. Wear something that will not make you cringe every time you have to show your card to a stranger to check out a library book, enter a building, or write a check at the Bursar's Office.
• Smile! That's how we would like to remember you!

FUN FACT: Your U Card photo is also stored in the University of Minnesota's database, PeopleSoft--so this image may be following you around for years….
