FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CLASSES AND REGISTRATION
  1. I am currently a student at the University of Minnesota. How do I register?
  1. I am currently NOT in a program at the University of Minnesota, but want to register at the undergraduate level.
  1. I am currently NOT in a program at the University of Minnesota, but want to register at the graduate level.
  1. How do I find out which classes are being offered next year at the University?
  1. How much will tuition cost if I register at the undergraduate level? How much will tuition cost if I register at the graduate level?
  1. What deadlines do I need to remember?
  1. When do I need to pay my tuition and where do I pay it?
  1. Can I see the syllabi from previously-taught classes?

  1. Current University of Minnesota students should use the on-line registration system available.
  1. To take courses as a non-degree-seeking student at the undergraduate level:
  2. Go to http://www.onestop.umn.edu/. Click on "Forms Online." Download "Registration and Cancel/Add Form" under "Registering for Classes." Fill out the form completely. (Class, course and section number are available by going to the Netscape page where you clicked on "Forms Online" and clicking on "Class Schedule" instead. Choose the semester you are interested in and also the designator, such as "Public Affairs".) The class number is the 5-digit number to the left of the course entry in the course catalog. Indicate the grade option (i.e., A/F or S/N). Fill in the course and section number. If you need a class permission number, contact the instructor. Fax the form to Stacey Grimes at (612) 626-0002. Contact Stacey at (612) 626-1329 if you have questions or problems.

  1. Tuition for Fall 2006 through Summer 2007: Undergraduate tuition will be $291.85 per credit through 12 credits and a flat rate of $3,794.00 for 13 or more credits. Graduate tuition at the Humphrey Institute is:

A University Fee of $48.75 per credit up to 9 credits or $487.50 total for 10 or more credits is assessed to all students. Student services fees may also be assessed. Graduate-level non-degree-seeking students at the Humphrey Institute pay the Master of Public Affairs tuition rate of $777.00 per credit.

11am.  Cedar-Riverside Tour (meet in HHH Atrium), followed by lunch at Acadia Restaurant (12pm)

11am-1:15pm.  HHHCtr 131:  PA 5031 Waivers.  Bring your transcript, syllabi, and waiver form for faculty to review to determine if you are eligible to waive PA 5031. 

August 27:
